Kind Words
From our Students
Simple and Enjoyable
I’m in my early 50’s. I’ve been learning woodworking for the past 3 years, mostly through YouTube. Many of the makers I watch have begun to include CNC’s in their work. I am a lifelong learner, but somehow thought that learning about CNC’s would be over my head. I was wrong! I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the lessons didn’t assume that I had prior knowledge and they broke everything down in an easy to understand format.
So glad that I decided to take this course!
Comprehensive Intro Course
Thankfully they have put together a very comprehensive course that outlines the basics of CNC in an easy-to-understand format. Whenever I'm looking for very specific knowledge on a certain subject, I always prefer to reach out to the experts in that field and PDX CNC is one of the best.

How does this course work?
This course is an online, go-at-your-own-pace learning tool. Most of the content will be pre-recorded screen-recording, and video of our CNC shop to show you the best practices we use daily.
-
How do I see the free preview?
To see the free preview, just click Free Preview and sign up to check out the course. Absolutely no payment required.
-
Is this course worth it?
CNC manufacturer training is typically well into the $100s if not $1,000's. At the end of this course, you'll have a great beginner's knowledge of CNC, CAM, and common software used to create that CAM.
The course will give you a good beginner's knowledge of both CNC & CAM. -
What do I need to have to take this course?
Honestly, just a device capable of streaming video. It can be a smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer. Ideally, you'll want to follow along and repeat the steps we're showing in your own software (for CAD/CAM) but this is not necessary.
-
How quickly can I start?
You can start right now! The whole course is published as of Mar 14, 2021
Already signed up? Go check it out.
If you've purchased an online course, you'll have access for one year (365 days) from the date of the last published lesson. You can easily renew if your access has lapsed. -
Do I need a CNC to take this course?
Absolutely not! I (Justin, the instructor) learned a ton of CAM and CNC knowledge online before ever owning a CNC. It sticks with you and - downside - only makes you more apt to buy a CNC 😉.
-
